Baked Brie In Puff Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- Flour, for rolling.
- 1 round brie cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
Heat the oven to 350°F.
V Lightly grease a baking sheet
Dust a work surface with a small amount of flour.
Roll out one sheet of puff pastry rolling pin with a little flour.
Place the round of brie in the middle of the pastry.
Fold the corners over the brie, forming a neat package.
Gently press the edges against the brie to make it stick.
Transfer the wrapped brie to the baking sheet .
Brush the pastry all over with the beaten egg.
Bake until golden-brown, 35 to 40 minutes. Bake until the pastry is deep golden-brown,
Allow to cool 5 to 10 minutes, you really don’t want to eat straight away and burn your mouth with molten cheese.
Also if you cut the brie too early most of it will gush right out — which is still yummie, but messy
Transfer to a serving platter, it will easily move, just use a good wide flat implement, you know the one you have.
Serve warm with crackers, jams, nuts or candied nuts for extra yummieness
Or honey and thinly sliced apple and quartered strawberries
And walnuts and fit jam
